Dear Sir
The high winds of a day or two since have blown down and broken in three parts the central one of the three Headstones in your Lot No 117 Beech Ave.
I judge that you would wish to be advised of the matter.
Very Respectfully JW Lovering Supt. per Childs.
Mt. Auburn
Dear Sir
Your favor of the 8th inst with bill received which I regret is not satisfactory.
The charge no more than covers the cost of time & material to us, and was made as low as possible because you were disappointed by our mistake; and you are not charged for the time used in correcting the mistake.
I should not know where to begin, were I to make the charge any less, unless I cancelled it altogether.
I supposed when the work was finally done that it was satisfactory to you, if not, I will cancel the entire charge, if you cannot satisfy yourself that it is a just one, as I believe it to be.
Yrs truly J.W. Lovering

Dr Sir
On & after. in accordance with the regulation of the Board of Trustees that no materials or labor shall be furnished without a written order, you will please see that whoever attends to the sales at Greenhouse, takes an order for all plants or flowers not paid for at the time, and that these orders are returned to me. I wish that no bills should be made except by me.
Yours truly J.W. Lovering Supt.

Dear Sir
Your letter of the 12 inst is received. We have obtained the estimates of two Stone workers, who give the following estimates viz: R. Sands of Mt. Auburn estimates the cost of a new stone to exactly replace the old one at $80.00 and the cost of redowelling the other two at $5.00 each.
Alexr McDonald same Post office, estimates the cost of a new stone @ $100.00 & redowelling the others at $5.00 each in connection with the new stone or $8.00 each if the new stone is not put up. I would suggest that any further communications be addressed to either of these parties as the Corporation does no work of the kind.
Very Respectfully James W Lovering Supt. per Childs.
These parties also report, that it is impossible to mend the broken stone
