Your favor of yesterday with card for 1876 at hand.

I am sorry to learn that the vase was not to your liking last summer, but I hope this year it may please you better & be as it ought to be, as I have called to special attention of our gardeners to it.

Should you see, at any time, in the work done for you by the Corporation anything unsatisfactory, I should consider it a favor if you would call my attention to it, that any mistake or neglect might be rectified.
