Clar [Clear] & rathr [rather] Cool glides allong [along] finely – Justy [Justine] considerable bettr [better] this Meny [Morning] – Am in hopes she will soon be over her sickness – Stile [still] well myself – Sea rathe [rather] rough went in to [into] old Point Comfort & took on 250 U. S. Solders [Soldiers] – At 11 Oc [O'clock] A. M. lefs [left] Justy sick all day but better in the eveyho [evening] & on deck – Dist 21 v - 21

Sunday 7th. Clar [Clear] & beautiful Justy [Justine] stile [still] Sem sick in bed all dy [day] – Stile [still] vet [very] well myself ––

Justy [Justine] has been to the table but 1 tim [time] since we left N. Y. – Quite a number Sails in sight to dy [today] – Steamer North Star passed us on met in the Evening –– A great many sick on board to day [today] –

Mond [Monday] 8th. Clar [Clear] & pleaset [pleasant] all dy [day] Justy [Justine] stile [still] sick could not get her out of bed
