Dear Sir

I called to see you this morning but failed to find you. I want to have the slate I ordered for the cornice 7" x 2" made a little longer to make up 46'-7" instead of 46'-3 on each side putting all the additional length on the left hand side as you look at the plan, making the first piece 5'-9 1/2" instead of 5'-5 1/2": this applies to both sides.

I also want to have the upper horizontal band at the top of the left hand upper catacomb made 3 1/2 or 4 inches longer than the lower ones to complete the cornice^^{thus making that 46-7 long instead of 46'-3" extra length on left hand side} I left word at your office to this effect today & hope after this I shall not have to make any new corrections.
