Voted, – that the subject be re=committed to the Committee on Interments, with full powers to take such action in the premises as they may deem expedient; reporting their action to this Board with a statement of the facts on which it is based.

Monthly Statement of Sales of Lots accepted and placed on file.

A statement of the sales of Lots effected by the Superintendent from to , so far as approved by the Committee on Lots having been submitted and read by the Secretary, it was

Voted, – that said statement be accepted and placed on file.

Contract for perp. Rep. with G., of Lot 3391

The Secretary having stated that the Committee on Lots had recommended the Trustees to guaranty the perpetual repair of Lot No 3391 on Mistletoe Path represented by Miss Elizabeth A. Bowman, for the sum of Five hundred dollars, it was

Voted, – that the aforesaid contract be concurred in on the part of this Board.

Jonathan H. Cheney. Lot 829 Appt for rep.

A petition for the appointment of Franklin N. Thatcher of Boston, son=in=law of Jonathan H. Cheney, deceased, as representative of the Lot formerly owned by said Cheney (No 829), signed by Sarah M. Train and Eunice H. Thatcher ^his daughters, and accompanied by a letter from Mr Charles R. Train stating that Mr J. Homer Cheney, the only son of the deceased wished to represent the Lot himself and declined to write in the petition aforesaid, having been laid before the Board by the Secretary, on motion of Mr Choate, it was

Voted, – that the Secretary be instructed to forward

received from Hon. Chas. R. Train in response to the communication addressed to him by the Secretary in compliance with the vote adopted at the last meeting of the Board; [p. 215]

After discussion it was

Voted, – that the Secretary be instructed to request Mr J. Homer Cheney, if desirous of appointment as representative of Lot 829, lately owned by his deceased father, to present a petition therefor to the Trustees.

Monthly Statement of Sales of Lots accepted & placed on file.

A statement of the sales of Lots from April 9t, 1873, to date, so far as approved by the Committee on Lots, having been submitted and read by the Secretary, it was

Voted, – that said statement be accepted and placed on file.

Upon the petitions of the parties in interest, representatives were designated for Lots as follows, viz:

1436 Alanson Bigelow of Boston, Son-in-law & Exor of Isaiah Bangs deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Fourteen hundred & thirty=six.

1717 Abigail H. Pratt, of Boston, Widow of George Pratt deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Seventeen hundred & seventeen.

2046 Nathan L. Green, of Boston, Son of Samuel S. Green deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Two thousand and forty=six.

2368 Catherine A. Wheeler of Cambridge, Widow of Lewis Wheeler, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Twenty-three hundred & sixty=eight.

Monthly schedule of Bills referred to President

been submitted to the Board by the Treasurer in compliance with the By=Laws, and the schedule having been read by the Secretary, it was

Voted, – that said bills be referred to the President for his approval, and payment by the Treasurer, if found correct

Jonathan H. Cheney. Lot 829 Repn of. – Action deferred.

The Secretary stated that in compliance with the instructions given him by the Board at the meeting of the , [see p. 223.] he had "requested Mr J. Homer Cheney, if desirous of appointment as representative of Lot 829, to present a petition therefor to the Trustees;" that Mr Cheney had subscribed such a petition, which the Secretary laid before the Board, together with the petition presented , for the appointment of Mr Franklin N. Thatcher, as the representative of said Lot.

Voted, – that the subject of designating a representative for Lot 829 be laid upon the table.

Treass statements for quarter ending . referred to Com. on Finance.

The Treasurer's Report of Receipts and Expenditures for the quarter ending , also his statement of amounts due and unpaid for the same quarter, having been submitted to the Board, it was
