Mrs Charles A. Prince

Dear Madam

In answer to your note to Mr Collins with reference to the condition of lot #1158 (Prince) I would say that no order has been given for care and repair on this lot for more than four or five years.

The grass can be kept cut by your sending an annual or a permanent order in writing to that effect, and such other repairs as may be desired from time to time will be made when ordered; or you can make a permanent arrangement for care and repair according to the circular enclosed.

In regard to the Rufus Choate lot the orders received were for the cutting of the grass, the trimming of the vines & the enriching of the sod (the latter to be done this fall)

This is the first year the Corporation has cared for the lot and I do not know how well it may have looked in past years, but it is in much better order than when taken in the spring.

There are four trees in the lot, besides several near, which give too much shade for good grass.

The removal of all or a part of the trees in the lot & the painting of the fence would improve the lot as would resodding, but it is of no use to go to the expense of resodding with so much shade. Any instructions you may send will be promptly attended to

Very truly J.W. Lovering
