Sir

Annex't to this is the certificate of Mr Thomasson a late member of the Legislator of Kentucky by which you will ascertain the correctness of my statement made in my last letter addressd to you at Nashville with regard to the disposition of the Legislator towards us by which it appears there was a majority against the applicaton 46. 32. The order you gave me on them I believe is in the hands of [Capt?] Prentiss I will forward it as soon as I can but I suppose it will make no difference On your [receiving?] this do Dr. Sir embrace the earlyest [sic] opportunity of Lay ing it before the ^Legislature if it should be necessary for I am distress. I am press down like the [? ?] many [?] and shall not be able to recover myself without some [steady? relief?]

Verry [sic] Respectfully I Remain your Obedient & Humble Sert Wyllys Hall
