that I have not the Smallest doubt, that in case America Should be become invaded, our Citizens will in general that the people of Tennessee will unanim ously, be firm, and alert in defending their country from the attacks and invasion, of any foreign invader ^power whatever - permit me sir, to solicit, the honor of Your communications on Such matters, as may be deemed proper to impart that maybe touching the safety and and interest of America the United States

Refused until they advised & counseld [sic] with the Chickasaws, which was being done - there [sic] advice was, for the Choctaws not to concern but by still in the Quarrel, which was agreed to by the Uper [sic] Choctaws Colbert informed me that the lower Choctaws, was had some time ago ^in the spring prepared to fall on the Natchez Settlements, but had ^again declined ^the expedition he also gives it as his opinion that the lower Choctaws & Creeks would will inevitably join the French & Spanards [sic] in case of a war between America & those Nations - I have mentioned this information in order that the executive may know if ^whether or not it corresponds wth other information advices-
