State of Tennessee Smith County so}

I Willis Jones being appointed by the last General Assembly of the State of Tennessee to survey & run the line between the Counties of Smith, Wilson & Jackson, do hereby certify that after running the line between the aforesaid County's of Smith and Wilson, William Bumpass (who was late appointed as a Justice of the peace for the aforesaid County of Smith) was left in Wilson County as an inhabitant and thereof also between the Counties of Smith & Jackson, find that Buck Russel who was also appointed a Justice of the peace for the s.d County of Jackson was left as an inhabitant in Smith County as aforesaid Given under my hand this twenty fourth day of August Anoo. Dom: 1802
