Office Sec. Senate Washington July 19th - 1834-

Sir-

By a resolution of the Senate it is made my duty to send certain printed lists of the pensioners of the United States to each, court of record in the respective States.-

To enable me to carry this resolution into effect, I have to request that you will cause to be furnished to this office, the number of courts of record with the respective post office in each county of the State over which you preside.-

As there was little probability of a direct conveyance, to the Capitol of your State, offering] from this place, I have taken the liberty of sending to the care of the Clerk of the House of Representatives of the United States at Wash -ington City one Copy of the 4th Vol. of the Laws of Pennsyl vania for the use of your Legislature.

Ordinance Office Washington Sept 12th 1841

His Excellency the Governor of Tennessee Nashville

Sir

Orders have been given for furnishing the stores specified in the annexed statement, on account of hte quota of arms due to the State of Tennesse under the Law for Arming and equipping hte Militia
