State of Tennessee Lincoln County

I Briwell M. Garner Clerk of the Court of the pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County Certify that Robert Dickson an ailing justice of the peace for Capt. Carty's Company resigned his appoint =ment at the January Term 1831 of said Court and that Stephen Alexander formerly a justice of the peace for the same Company in said County departed this life some time since 28^th April 1831.

Francis L. Kincannon & Robert S. [Hecline?] have been nominated by the people of the town company of competent persons to fill the office of magistrate Kincannon in the room of Robert Dickson resigned. &. [Hecline?] in the place. of Alexander. deceased.

Do have the commissions made out immediately & send them [to? by?] the [bearer?] so that they can qualify as such at the present term of the court
