Gentlemen: Upon the accompanying petition of Milas Galliher et all for sewers on High and Lombard Sts: - I would say that the Benegette Williams plan provides for a sewer on Lombard but not on High St. The estimated cost of such sewer petitioned for as comes within the system is $3328.00 dollars.

Very respectfully R. H. Thomson City Engr

Sir: Gentlemen: I find the facts set forth in the petition to be true. The 14th St. Sewer is intended to end at 60 ft South of Marion St, so that if any now be built it would be better to complete this end of the systemn. I estimate the cost of such proposed improvement as follows:

400 lineal feet of pipe laid @ 1 20 per foot 480.00
1 Manhole 50.00
1 Catch basin 50.00
1 Ventilator 20 --
Total $600.00

REGINALD H. THOMSON, CITY ENGINEER H. W. SCOTT A. V. BOUILLON, ASSISTANT ENGINEER

OFFICE OF THE CITY ENGINEER

Seattle, Washington, May 21, 1894

The Hon. Committee on Claims:

Gentlemen:

The statements made in the annexed petition of Lyman E. Knapp I find to be true. I think it proper that the first part of the petition, to wit that the Treasurer had authorized to apply $708.19 of the $826.74 excess heretofore paid, to the benefit of the twenty one lots within the district, should by ordinance reciting all the facts, be granted.

The second half of the petition, that relating to the rebate of the remaining $118.75, I do not think can be granted until all warrants on the street are paid.

Respectfully yours, R. H. Thomson City Engr
