12:45 Lunch. Look over Oregon Comp Graphics. If I go, just go for Monday. Write up reason why I didn't sell either Rule 144 MS or the 369 NG SO.

1:30 Take suitcoat down to Klopfensteins. Misc

2:30 Call Catherine Iles. Card to Vic I (Birthday). Snack - canned pears

3:00 Tan at Body Nautilus. Shower, but can't remember which towel so I want in sauna + even whirlpool after soon nice looking "Chipette" gets in. Talk with Tom Allen awhile too.

4:15 Go home. J/O.

Finish reading WSJ. Lots of economic news + commentary which seems interesting to me now that I am responsible for Microsoft stock. And it motivates my interest in Expert Systems.

Morning:

Went through this summer's old financial products mail, like Fidelity + T Rowe Price bonds, Vanguard Real Estate Fund, Zweig Investment Service, and threw most out but kept notes in Bluebook on why each is inappropriate.

Also, collected all my tax returns and supporting documents into one place, and put the Pre-Seattle ones in closet with other old stuff, and put the Seattle years in a box.

After lunch:

Play with Word 3.01 + Excel 1.04 a bit. Read over "Policies for 4th quarter" and put away under Earnings in blue notebook along with a few notes I've written since then.

Decide maybe I should still get one tall bookshelf for Den to put away the things I'll bring home from Microsoft, having to do with Pers Acct and Works development. And move short bookshelf over to window.

4:30 Tan at the Body Nautilus. Shower, hot tub, shower.

5:45 At home, pull together pers mail starting in early '86 and leave other behind on shelf with diaries through end of 1986.

Finalize decision to sell Vang Bond.

Dinner.

Finish first round cleaning dining room carpet. (May need another round.)

Think about this weekend awhile. What if Henry finds something wrong? If ok, should I postpone SF until I've started reading and gotten some ideas? Why if I'm invited to a party? What would I talk about?

9:00 Get out of the house awhile. J&L to pee. Tugs: sort of fun.

10:45 To bed. Wake up ~ 1:00 with headache AGAIN.

And then Bruce Placko showed up and that always makes me nervous, but he said "welcome back." And then I felt like I didn't want to leave alone, though I knew I should get back to growing more which I should probably do myself awhile. But I sorta wanted to shower so I went to stall to get a hard on since jock strap makes it so small. But no one I appreciated was around. At least I got a shower. As I left I nervously talked with someone who had been eyeing me who again I didn't really care for. I Feel bad that I'm not able to respond to them as they may wish, but at least they are pleasant, unlike that black guy last night.

So nothing wrong, but I felt on edge. It went away as I read more of Out on a Limb awhile.

7:00 Out to dinner. Bad gas aches. Read Chap 5, Out on a Limb. Back to Room. Read Chap 6, David + Shirley on Beach

9:00 Call Bill to tell him I'm in SF but he's at library, so tell Dave. And I don't feel so bad since he went to Portland for weekend without telling me...Dave + I talked about Dignity + Shirley + CS Lewis

9:15 Then I drove to airport to settle weekend rate + set up weekly. But was this stupid? I couldn't just made it weekly till now. And at the end of the week, next Saturday, I could go weekly for two more days, Sunday + Monday morning! So if I don't stay till Tuesday morning I've wasted $42! And even if I do stay I have not given myself the flex'y! So now I know I must stay thru Mon?

10:15 Feeling upset, go buy saline solution and a card for Henry.

Back at Beck's. Put contacts in enzyme solution + write Henry S.

11:00 Go out to Midnight Sun, but nothing much happens so I go

12:00 By Badlands and run into Mark Schonberg whom I had seen at Mid. Sun. We talked and he was friendly since I was lonely from having dinner (and gas pains) by myself, and from going out to airport, we went home together, and it was fun but I had to

7:10 Woke up + didn't feel to bad so I immediately go on my way.

8:30 Drive out Oakland Bridge and down 580 and 132 to Modesto where I got some cash at Bank. Remember arch over street "Water Wealth in Health" but friendly tellers. Not much of a city though. Continued driving to Merced on 99 ever since mid way on 580, the land was flat, undeveloped and the sky hazy + smoggy.

11:30 My mind tuned out until after Merced when land became foothills and sky became clear. It was a very nice drive

1:15 And I arrived at Yosemite and had lunch in the cafeteria.

2:15 After checking into room I hiked from Yosemite Falls all the way to where Merced crosses bike path. (Thought about disadvatanges of having non prof'l for boyfriend.) I saw deer and the wonderful Ahwhanee Hotel. But it became cool and I had on only a shirt so I walked back to hotel and drove to Camp Mery and walked a bit there then in room I read Maclaine and had dinner with with Roger + Jan
