Report of Comee on Monumt to Heroes _
"The Committee to whom was referred the subject of a monument to Soldiers &c. request leave to Report:
That they approve of the suggestion of the President that this Corporation contribute towards the erection, at Mount Auburn, of a monument to the brave citizens who have fallen in defence of the Laws, during the Civil War. That if the Trustees concur with the Committee, then they would suggest, that, in addition to the model already before them, Artists be invited to send in designs for the inspection of the Board.

On motion of Mr Little, The report was accepted.
Comee on Mont to Heroes authorized to invite designs by different Artists _
On motion by Mr Cheever, Voted to refer the whole subject back to the same Committee with power to invite designs and report thereon to this Board:
