Geo. Bates' memorial leave to withdraw

Upon the request of George Bates, Proprietor of lots 708 & 2263, presented at the meeting in January, (see p. 58) that the number 2263 might be erased, & that the lot might become part of lot 708. _

The Committee have ascertained that the lots are entirely separate & they deem it inexpedient that they should be united in one number. _

Voted that the same be accepted. _

Lots 420, 421, 422 - Petition for change of numbers upon record refused.

Upon the petition of H. W. Dutton, Freeman Winship for the heirs of Jonathan Winship, & S.S. Holton, proprietors of lots 420, 421, & 422 respectively, presented at the meeting in February, ^(see p. 58) referred to this Board of Trustees, to by them at the March Meeting, referred to the aforesaid Committee & the Secretary: _ asking that the numbers upon their deeds, & the record of the same may be changed, so as to correspond with the numbers of the lots as actually occupied by them, according to a statement submitted by them: _

The Committee have been unable to determine from so distant a period, how the error originally arose: but independently of that consideration they deem it improper to authorize the alteration of the record as it would involve a departure from the system which has been uniformly observed - a correspondence between the number of the deed & the page of the record; and they see no necessity in this instance, since the parties by making transfers from one to the other, can obtain what they desire. _

They therefore report that the petitioners have leave to withdraw. _

Voted that the report be accepted. _
