Brookdale. In the evening all the kids in Brookdale went to a Bon fire at the Funkes. Some of them poped [popped] corn and we had some lemenade [lemonade] with it.

The last couple of afternoons we have been in swimming but today it is raining.

This morning Russell and I walked to Boulder for meat and when we got home, we went down to the station to meet the train.

Last night Helen and Elizabeth Funke and Katherine Gelderman were here and we played cards.

We had an earthquake last night, but I slept right through it.

Dan Bissell is coming up tonight to stay over Sunday.

We are going to have a party here some night soon.

Thank you very much for your letter.

From you friend

Doris Haslett.
