know dear.

We are very well here. Richard is at a house party at Dodge's at Walnut Creek. Charlie took him down in the Lozier to spend Sunday thru Friday. There was to be a dance on Friday night. We expected him today but he has not come yet – No I remember now that he was not to come until Monday. When do you think Camp will break up? Or at least when do you think you will come home? Soon I suppose.

The Simmons property is filling up pretty well now, you would be surprised to see how much work the dredger has done.

Tuesday is Les's 21st birthday! Norman sent him a nice fob – gold & ribbon. Remember us to Mr. Fisher.

Lots of love from us all

I am going to bed as it is 10 PM. A dance at the boat house last night but we did not go. Were busy about poor Mr. Dodds. Take good care of yourself - Your loving Mother

R. H. Bates

[along left margin:] When you come home be careful on the boat to not fall overboard.
