saw! All the neighborhood was there & many from other parts of town – Many wanted the fence torn down bodily but moderation prevailed & a letter was written which was brought into Mr. Beadle by Mr. Okell Durney, Ward - Holt & James Tyson who requested him to take it down – He asked for time to consider it until Saturday (Meanwhile he had called for police protection, he was so alarmed by the crowd outside) – We hear [inderlined] he has refused unless Mr. Turner will buy half the lot, which he refuses to do (at 55.00 per front foot). Monday night there is to be another meeting held – It has poured rain all day {underlined} – If the "Dunbar" moving picture exhibition goes to Los A & you are there be sure to go – & take cousin Effie & Alice it is splendid, [underlined] but take good seats – I would not miss it for anything. Am in bed today so excuse scribbling Much love from all – We miss you

[on left margin:] Your loving Mother - R. H. B
