Dear Sir,

I find that the several deeds of lots 2158, 2159 & 2160 in Mt Auburn to yourself, Mr Bates & Mr Rice were dated Dec^r 10, 1856, - more than two years after the death of Mr Rice. Mr Henry G. Pine of Baltimore, the son, is evidently the proprietor of lot 2160. Before examining dates, I had supposed the father was the proprietor.

I find that the deeds have been delivered by the Treas^r, as they are erased from a list of deeds remaining in his hands. If you do not find them among your papers, I will ascertain who receipted for them.

I enclose our usual blank form for the representation of the Bates Lot. If his Bates' lot goes to more than one heir, this is the proper form. You will know from the will, if he left one. -

If you find the facts about decease of Arthur H Otis, please return the paper to me. --

Dear Sir,

I wish to complete the deeds of the three lots in Mt Auburn to be carved out of no. 2326 -- to your father, Mr Hollis, & Mr Fuller. Presuming that they would prefer consecutive numbers, I propose to give the numbers 3034, 3035 & 3036. If there is any objection to this by reason of cutting the old number on the granite, or for any other cases, please inform me at once.

I think probably this has not been done, as I suggested that we should have to give you new numbers.

Dear Sir,

The remains of your wife were temporarily deposited in the Receiving Tomb on the 25^th of Sept. 1864 -- more than a year ago -- with your promise to remove them to New York ^^{or elsewhere} in a few days.

I shall have to request your immediate attention to such removal, as it is absolutely necessary to keep the receiving tomb free for other deposits.

Trustees _ Aug. 3, 1863 _

The regular meeting of the Trustees of Mount Auburn Cemetery was held on Monday, August 3^d 1863, at 10 o'clock a.m.

There were present Messrs Bigelow, Cheever, Curtis, Little and Nazro.

The record of the last meeting was read.

Purchase of Watriss lot _ referred to next meeting _

The subject of the purchase of the lot of land west of and adjoining the Cemetery came up by assignment. As there was a bare quorum of the Board present, on motion of Mr Curtis, it was

Voted that the subject be referred to the next meeting in September. _

Lot 2326 _ to be reconveyed to Corporation and division into three lots authorized _

On the application of Seth Pettee, Trustee under the will of Mace Tisdale, deceased, late proprietor of lot no. 2326, situated upon Lime Avenue, and upon motion by Mr Curtis,

Voted that the Trustees hereby accept the reconveyance of said lot for the purpose of conveying the land contained therein in three lots to Life Baldwin, John W. Hollis and Granville Fuller of Brighton, and that said conveyances be made under the direction of the Committee on Lots.

Bill of F. Haskell referred to Mr Curtis _

A bill against the Corporation amounting to $8.00 made by F. Haskell, on motion of Mr Nazro, was referred to Mr Curtis with full power. ~
