I was afraid it was out there and would run in the house. Finally the kids came. I guess the skunk was in the basement as we could not see it anywhere.

When Mabel & Ruth opened the door they had four boys with them. They had met them up at the P. O. [post office] and walked home with the girls. One was Jean Jackson Ruth Jackson's brother, and the other was Harry Johnson, Crawford Bost's cousin. I don't know who the other two were. They all are just young kids. I have known Jean all my life. Our families are great friends.
