Mr President: Your Committee on Judiciary to whom was referred petition of Hans S Ellingson, have had the same made under consideration and report in favor of granting the relief asked for on the ground that Lot 2 of Blk. 8, of Prospect Terrace Addition, cannot be assessed to pay for grading of the Street Counding the East Side of said Block 8, as said Lot No 2 has at frontage upon the street bounding the West Side of said Lot, and lots can under the old law be assessed only to the middle of the block. To the Mayor Board of Aldermen and House of Delegates of City of Seattle, Wash Gentlemen: I very respectfully petition that the assessment Rolls for the grading of Baker St under ordinance Nos 1395,1396,1397,1398 & 1399 be so corrected as to have stricken thereupon an assessment of $64.70 against Lot 2 of Block 8 of Prospect Terrace Addition. Said lot does not front on Baker St, is beyond the line of the middle of the block from Baker St and is in no way subject to any tax be reason of grading said Baker St. Dated at Sattle this 30th day of March 1891 Hans S Ellingson Owner of said Lot 2 Bk8 Prospect Terrace Additions
