Trustees.
Watriss Lot. Claim for taxn of, Com. app. to investigate
A statement having been made by the President respecting a renewal by the Town of Watertown of its demand for payment of taxes assess on the Watriss Lot; –
Voted, – that the President and Mr Choate be appointed a Committee with full powers to investigate and maintain the rights of the Corporation with regard to the claims of the Town of Watertown ^as aforesaid.
Unfinished business of last year Re=referred to the several Comtees
On motion of Mr Snow it was
Voted, – that such portions of the business referred during the past year to Committees of this Board as may not to this date have been fully considered and determined on by them be hereby referred anew to the several Committees having cognizance thereof.
Mass. Hort. Soc. Relations of this Corpn to. Com. app. to consider, &c.
On motion of the same gentleman it was
Voted, – that a Committee consisting of the President-- and two other members of the Board be appointed to consider and report what measures, if any, should be taken to re=adjust or terminate the relations of this corporation to the Massachusettes Horticultural Society The President appointed Messrs. Snow and Choate as members of said Committee.
Monthly Statement of sales of Lots accepted & placed on file.
A statement of the sales of Lots effected by the Superintendent from to date, so far as approved by the Committee on Lots, having been submitted and read by the Secretary, it was
Voted, – that said statement be accepted and placed on file.
The Secretary having stated that the Committee on Lots had recommended the Trustees to guaranty the perpetual repair of Lot No 409 on Indian Ridge Path

late of Sarah E. Cazenove, deceased, for Six hundred dollars; of Lot No 1872 on Spruce Avenue, belonging to Dexter Roby for Five hundred and twenty-five dollars; and of Lot No 3467 on Myrtle Path, belonging to Hacket Derby, M.D. for Four hundred and fifty dollars; it was
Voted, – that the contracts aforesaid be severally concurred in by this Board
Upon the petitions of the parties in interest representatives were designated for lots as follows, viz:
1663 Arthur N. Whiting of Watertown, Son of Nathl Whiting, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Sixteen hundred & sixty=three.
3102 Charles Darrow of Boston, Son of Charles S. Darrow, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Thirty=one hundred and two.
Accounts &c at the Cemetery. Com. to cons. what changes in mode of keeping may be desirable, &c.
On motion by Mr Turner it was
Voted, – that the President of this Board and the Committee on Finance be instructed to consider and report what changes, if any, are desirable in the method and system of books and accounts at the Cemetery; and also what clerical force is necessary in said department.
Voted, – that when this meeting adjourns it adjourns to meet at this place on Wednesday, the , at Four P.M.
