that I dont write, but I am so busy in the office that I cannot write there, and when I come home I am too tired to do any thing, but I will try to write oftener, as I know how lonely it is to be away from home and feel that you are forgotten. Lesley is home, but I dont see much of him, as he is always going out on some business or other. I believe he is taking some night courses in Marconi sending, and also taking a course of lectures on the subject.

This afternoon Geo Martin and Roberta came down, and I felt like hugging him because he reminded me of Richard Bates in his uniform. He expects to go on one of the latest destroyers to the war zone. He is at Mare Island and he figures that Richard Bates is bound for Buenos Ayers [Buenos Aires]. We have no servant yet and Mother is doing without for awhile, as Les may he called any day,
