Contracts for Perp. Repair of Lots 645 and 530 _

The Secretary stated that the Committee on Lots had contracted with Nathl Fisher, proprietor of lot numbered 645 for the perpetual care of said lot for three hundred and twenty five dollars. _ ($325.)

and, respecting lot numbered 530,

with the Execrs & heirs of Sarah Lee, decd for the perpetual care of said lot for five hundred dollars ($500).

Voted that said contracts be severally ratified. _

application of S. J. Locke to have grade of her lot raised _

An application from Mrs Sarah J. Locke, representative of lot numbered 280, on Orange Path, that the Corporation would raise the grade of her lot to make the same conform to that of neighboring lots, on the ground that the Corporation had changed the grade since the purchase of said lot _ was read, and referred to the Committee on Grounds to report what action should be taken thereon. _

Application of Mr G. Brewer for leave to ride into Cem.y on horseback _

An application from Mr Gardner Brewer, requesting permission to ride into the Cemetery on horseback was read. _ and it was

Voted that the Secretary be instructed to notify Mr Brewer of the existing by law respecting admission on horseback _

Revision of By law on Admis-sion on horseback refd to Com. on By laws _

and that the subject of revision of said by-law be referred to the committee on revision of by-laws.

Trustees. Hazel Dell. Improvement of

Committee on Grounds, by unanimous Vote, – to wit; –

A communication dated , accompanied by a Plan, recommending certain improvements upon the land in Hazel Dell, and the laying out of new Lots upon said premises.

Mrs Sarah J. Locke, Lot 280, Drainage of.

A communication dated , accompanied with a Plan recommending that Lot No 280, belonging to Mrs. Sarah J. Locke be slightly raised in order to secure the more complete drainage thereof.

Receiving Tomb.

A communication dated "concerning the best mode of finishing a portion of the new Receiving Tomb."

Contract for Perpet. Repair of Lot. 3637.

The Secretary stated that the Committee on Lots had contracted with the Executors of the Will of William J. Walker deceased, proprietors of Lot No 3637, for the perpetual care of said Lot for eight hundred dollars, ($800.–)

Voted, – that the said contract be concurred in.

Upon the petition of the parties in interest, representatives were designated for Lots as follows;– viz;–

309 Francis B. Davis of Plymouth, grandson of John Davis, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Three hundred and nine.

360 Almira C. Train of Saugus, widow of Enoch Train, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Three hundred and sixty.

556 Anna M. Parker of Laconia, N. H., sister of George S. Woods, deceased proprietor of Lot numbered Five hundred and fifty=six.

"Boston, .

"The Committee on Grounds beg leave to report that they "have attended to the various duties assigned them, and "recommend

Lot of Sarah J. Locke Saml S. Osgood Nos 280 & 2151 to be raised

"1st. That the Lot of Mrs Sarah J. Locke, and the adjacent "Lot of Samuel S. Osgood be raised so as to restore the natural "drainage, the obstruction having been caused by the authority of "this Board.

Improvement of premises on Hazel=Dell amended, p. 33

"2d. That no Tombs hereafter be erected on the Southerly "side of Hazel Dell, and that the plan presented by the Superinten"dent for grading the land on the other sides of the same be adopted, " and the same be carried out under the direction of Messrs. "Livermore and J. T. Bradlee

Receiving Tomb Report of Progress

"3d. In regard to the new Receiving Tomb they have directed the "Superintendent to furnish an estimate of the expense of finishing "the vestibule and two compartments, and they report progress.

Edw. Palgemeyer Lot of, & premises in vicinity, proposal to improve

"4t, In regard to the lots of Edward Palgemeyer and others "they have directed the Superintendent to furnish a prospective "plan for improving the tract of land between Lavender, Myrtle "and Hazel Paths and Chestnut Avenue. which the Committee "will at some future time lay before the Board.

Sale to the City of Cambridge of a portion Stone Meadow on Coolidge Av. recommended

"5t. Upon the application of the Commissioners of the Cambridge "Cemetery for the purchase of a part of the Stone meadow Lot, "on Coolidge Avenue they recommend a sale to the City of Cambridge "of a strip of the said land measuring seven feet two inches on "Coolidge Avenue and thirty=one feet in the rear, containing ten "thousand four hundred and twenty square feet, at the rate of "twelve and a half cents per foot.
