Nathl Fisher Esq

Dear Sir,

Your favor of 6th inst. is before me: and I have laid your communication with the report of the Supt upon the condition of the lot before the Comee on Lots, who have carefully considered the matter and have directed me to inform you that this Corporation will assume the perpetual care of your lot no. 645 in the Cemetery "for three hundred & twenty five dollars ($325.) provided the Corporation has the right to take and hold the present iron fence and posts and substitute therefor at its own cost four ten inch granite ^site posts with the number of the lot cut upon one of them".

There is no material difference between your views and those of the Comee. The Superintendent in his note of last August, of which I sent you a copy, overestimated the value of your fence and old posts, as he now states. Upon looking over the lot & fence again, he thinks that the whole thing would not bring more than $25.00. The old posts, owing to the fence being set with brimstone are entirely ruined for any other purpose, as you may know that the action of sulphur with iron out of doors disintegrates the granite.

The four new posts with number cut will cost $19.00.

The Comee, in looking over
