Diarrhea much improved by a single Lomotil tablet. Wrapped the Mozart cassette for mailing to Rubin when I write in answer to possible reprinting of Tournament or Jordan County—primarily the latter.
Read first half of Tolstoy’s “Kreutzer Sonata,” a preachy affair, nothing as good as “Ivan Ilych.” But I’ll keep on with it, + follow it with “Master & Man,” The fourth of his stories to be read for the Wolf9 this month.
Walked two miles, then came back + finished “The Kreutzer Sonata,” which I played when I walked. The second half of the story was much better than the first half—just as I thought on two previous readings.
