Missed our gym lesson.
Did geography in free lesson.
Had a french test in afternoon.
Mummy went to see George in the
afternoon. He is very cheerful and is same old
self. Did homework all the evening.

28 Fri
Nice day. Jane Bent ill in
school so went home. Did maths in free
lesson. Had quite a nice needlework
lesson. Had a very nice game of hockey
in afternoon. Did homework all the evening.

29 Sat-s.r. 7.45, s.s. 4.42
Helped Mummy all
the morning. Made two pastries, a jam tart
and an apple pie. One of Daddys land girls,
Willie Stot came for weekend. Did
homework in afternoon. Played games in
evening.

Arrange in shallow boxes eye-end upwards good
"Seed" of first early Potatos and place in a cool, light,
frost-proof structure. Allow two sprouts only to develop
on each tuber.

If severe weather prevails, take steps to protect buds
of Gooseberries and Red Currants from birds by running
strands of black cotton in a zigzag manner from branch
to branch.
