Wind E by N strong breeze and wet foggy weather
Main sail at 8 o clock this morning [recning?] with [lorable?] reef Top sails
off 4 P M thick and foggy again
Tuesday 26th Lat 40 = 27 N W Long 140 15 East
Wind East fair weather Light wholesail breeze Lowerd at 12 Celseh for A Hump
Back whale but to no effect so ends all these 24 hours Lat 41 N Long
Wednesday 27th of May Lat Long
Wind E thick foggy weather at 4 O clock this morning Lowerd for right whales
Struck one and brought him alongside about 9 this morning this whale
Makes one Hundred a barrels(crossed out) and 25 barrels Lat
Thursday 28th
This day Trying out Calm foggy weather Lowerd and killed one right
whale this day by Mr Sherman which made us 75 barrels
Friday 29th Lat Long
Wind N W Light breeze and moderate weather whales in sight
Saturday 30th of May
Wind N [E?] [recning?] under whole Topsails Lowerd at 5 o clock this morning
For right whales took one, killed one and brought him along sails at 4 P M
Commenced eating him in [heforouhed?] to hew dry skin we saved his
Head and Let cut off from him and Let go. So ends thes 24 hours
