This 24 hours Commences with Strong breezes
and Squals from the W N W Steering East
at 1 O Clock P. M took in the Studing Sails
and Shifted them on the other Side While
Setting the Lower Studing Sails Carried away
the Top mast Studing Sail Boom took in the
Sails and Clewed up the main Royal midle
part took took in the Fore Top Galient Sail
Latter part wind from W S W to W N W with
a plenty of Snow and Hail Squals Saw nothing
Employd in Turning Belay Pins and other job
of Ships duty Saw nothing Lat 55. 52 S Lg 91. 38 W

Snow Squals from the Westward Steering E with
all Sail Set midle and Latter part the Same
Employd in making a new main Royal Saw nothing

reefed the Fore Top Sail Latter part turned one
reef out of the Fore Top Sail Set the Jib and
