half watches Carry all sail So Ends all well

Wednesday the 2 nd

Began with light breezes from the N W ward
which continued through the at daylight in
the morning Saw 4 whales & Spent the day
in Chasing Saw 2 merchant Ships Steering
E S E at Sun set furled Top Sails & lay by
So Ends Lat Obsd 35:28 Long 2:00

Thursday the 3 th

light airs from the W ward through out the
at 6 [o'clock] in the morning set all sail &
steered E N E at 10 raised 3 whales [lowered]
soon got fast but the Iron [came] out
at 11 raised Sperm whales Struck 1 and
the Irons [came] directly out darted at
another but did not get hold So Ends the
day Lat Obsd 35:50 Long 3:00
