at day light in the morning turned
on to [cutting?] at 10 oclok. Finished
made sail. Soon raise a whale [lored?]
soon got fast killed her took her a long
side at 4 PM, commenced cutting
at sunset. Stoppered down for the Knight.
So goes the day all well. Lat obs 36:40
Longitude 4:00

Thursday the 5th
Throughout this day light winds [&?]
[thick?] weather. Finished cutting our
whale set the foresail & stood to the
Sthward at 2 PM. Weather clear
Set topsails & [wore?] ship. Saw 2 whales
lored our boats & killed 1 of them &
took her a long sie & put on the
big chain for the knight. So ends
the day. Lat obs 37:30 Long 4:00

Friday the 6th
Began with light winds which continued
the principal part of the day, at day
light in the morning stoked our fire
and turned all hand on to cutting.
At 10 Oclok finished & began to [sail]
Spoke with Barque [???per] from
Nantucket bound to the Indian ocean
Capt worth caime onboard.
Latter part saw severel whales
but the weather increasing did not
lore. So remains. Lat obs
