This day calm verry thick weather throughout the
day. a heavy swell. so ends this day.

Thursday Apr 21st -

This day light airs varying from SSW to WSW.
plesant weather. all sail. by the wind on
the Larboard tack. nothing in sight. so ends.

Friday Apr 22nd

First part good breeze from the SSW with rain and
snow. at 4 PM made sail. steering by the wind
heading W. at 9 AM blowing strong. took in sail
to clost reefed maintopsail, fore and main spencers.
lay by the wind heading SW. wind SSE. set
quater watches. Latter part blowing a gale from
the ESE and raining. laying by the wind under
clost reefed main topsail and main spencer.

Saturday April 23rd

First part gale from the ESE. raining. Mid part
wind hauled to SSW. moderated some. wore ship
heading W. thick weather. set doublereefed maintopsail
and foresail. Latter part wind and weather much
the same. so ends in Latt 57"43 N.

Sunday April 24th

First part light breeze from the Southward and
verry thick weather. Mid part cleared up a
little. made sail. by the wind heading SSE.
light breeze from the SW. Latter part spoke
and gamed with the Caravan Capt Bray [don fool?]
of New Bedford. shortened sail. set quater
watches. lay by the wind heading E.
good breeze from the SSE. raining.
