An Injection for
Deafness

Rx oyle of bitter Almonds and oyle of Marjoram
ana ounce jts boyle it in halfe a pint of Muskadine
to the wasting of a third part, then reserve itt to
be injected into the Ear with a Cyringe
This cured an extreame deafness

To Preserve and strengthen
the Memoryes
The fume of pitch and ones owne Haire mixt
with strong vinegar and a Quantity thereof burnt
of limes and the fume receiued by the Nostrill,

For the extremitie

Rx Venice Turpentine well washt in plantaine
water one ounce, Rhubarb in powder 4 dramms
sugar 2 ounces, cinamon one ounce in powder
minge these and make pills, take first and last
3 pills as bigge as a prease and in the morning
after it take on the point of a knife a little Diascordium
and a good draught of Verjuce posset hott to wash it
downe, and fast after itt an houre, and take heed
of lifting or streineing. The possett and diascordium
must be used after the pills in the morning; use this;
3 or 4 days, and if you find itt begin to stay, use
itt the longer, otherwise leave 2 or 3 dayes and then
Vse it agaie.

For the after Burden
Take mirrhe & saffron & cinamon, beat them
and searce them, of each alike Quantity, and
mingle them & give as much as will lye upon a
penny.

For the Mother
Take 3 graines of Musk; mingle itt with as
much beaten spices as will lye on a groate &
giue itt in a spoonfull of beer lett the partie that
Drink itt, stop her Nose, & let not them that prepare
it come near the partie; the spices are Nutmegges
Ginger, Cinamon Cloves
