To bring or prevent
the poxe from pilling

Take red rose water plantaine water
of each a like quantity and a little salt
boyle them together, and when the poxe
be full blowne out, that you may safely
wett them without danger, heat a little
of the water & lay a little at a time on
every poxe but let the water be warm

To preserve the eyes in the
poxe

Take red rose water & plantaine
water & mingle them together &
wash the eyes with itt the water being warm

For the throate
in the poxe

Take red sugar candy & disolue it in red
rose water a good while the longer the better,
hold the sugar candy in your mouth but
but take none of the water & alwayes haue
some in the water that you may never be wth
out it in the mouth & make a stay of saffron for
the throate

For the spotts that remaine
after the poxe

Take Amyle one ounce, beat it to powdre
and grind itt upon a stone to fine flower
mingle itt with oyntment of roses that is
fresh and good and use itt. Take a little of itt
lay it upon a white linnon cloth & smooth
them over with itt

For the Meorim or giddiness
of the Head

Take [Retty ] sweet majoram rosemary
of each one handfull dry them to powder
putt to it white frankincense mastick
cloves nugmeggs cinamon of each half
a spoonfull cast the powder upon the skarlett
flocks carded quilt them m taffaty sarc
nett make a capp & weare itt

for a giddiness or swiming
of the head

Take cummin seed one dram bay berries husked
& juniper berries of each of them 4 drams
make them into powder & of the powder make
the bagge
