Crootsroots and all, of pimpernell, of each of these one
handfull, take all these and put them into an -
ordinary still, and with them a good handfull of
redrose leaves and an other of white, and after -
the water is distiled take a little of the purest
white Coper rose, and a little white sugger candy
put them in the water, and Let it stand in the sunne
for a time to clarifie, these herebs also if they be
put into a pott & put theseto a potte of water, and
stand macerating ouer warme embers . 2 . or 3 . nights
and stand and then let them steepe tenne or twelve
dayes, and then take the hearbes away from the water,
and put them [c..iris] to it and suggar candy, it is uery
good that way, but better stilled, .

Take of the hearbe dragon, of Adders tongue of Agrimony
of scabious, of salendine, of pimpernell, or sage of Rosema ^ ry
of Rew, of wormwood of muggworth of baulme of each
a pound, lay them steeping in as much white wine as
will couer them, a day and a night, then still them
and drinke the distilled water first in the morning
and also afterwards in the day time as you shall thinke
good
