Rub Wipe the mushrooms quite clean from dirt. bruise
them in the hand with Salt, let them stand two days

strain thro' a flannel Ball, squeezing them dry
then put to a Quart of the juice, one penny worth
of long Pepper, 1/4 of black Pepper 1/4 of all spies
good race of Ginger & three or four Blades of Mace
1 Nutmeg 9 or 10 cloves - then boilt it till
the Liquor tastes strong of the Spices when tis
cold put into Bottles with the Spices, coverd with
