For to make Filligre paper

For scarlet, Vermillion, for Blew, Blew [Vertitur]
for Oring, Oring Orment, for green, Verdigrass
Your grass green, must be dyed yellow first & your
willow green, must be dyed [while] first mixt
your green, with Vernish, (your other Couller
with gum watter

To Dye paper

For a red Brasill & a bit of Allome an yellow
Turmerick with a bit of Allome for purple
Logwood with Allome, To Gild paper take
Sheld gold & mixt it with gum watter & with
a pensill do the papers eggess ---

To make Seed Cake

Take 4 pound of fine flower & dry it 3 hours
before a fire then rub in a pound & quarter
of butter till there is no lumps in it, then take
a pint a pint of ale yeast, a quart of milk &
penny worth of safforn dryed & put in a ragg,
& squeesed in the milk tell all the vertue is out
then put your yeast first into the flower,
then your milk a little warme, to the yeast
