To take of a funch of dry mould being in &af Tobacco damadge by salt water.
Put two pound of treacle in four quarts of water and two quarts of Vinigr. Beat it well togather till the treacle is all disovld. then dry it very well in the Bave then stripe it. and sprincle. y.r tobacco with that liquor to make it in a working case before you cut it and make it very moist wth the said liquor after it is cutt then take 8 oz. of Jemeco pepper beat it to a fine powder and mixt it wth the qt of [rll] wheight then dry it over the fire in y.r dryer till it be very dry the nature of the liquor will make it give again. this will make it smoak well and give it a pleasant sent.
Tor to make fine snuff
Dry y.r Tobacco dust very well in the sun or over the fire then beat it to a powder then take three pound of Jemeco pepr and three pound of Coriandr pepper and beat them to a fine powder and that will give a pleasant sent to [rll] whight.
