Take Lapis callaminaris 4 ounces make it red Hott
& quench it in a pint of white wine heat & quench it
so 9 times til the wine boyle up to the Top of the
cupp wch must be silver & it must stand neare the
fire but not to touch it then take an ounce of
Tutty burne it in a cruiciple Red hott quench it in
a little Red Rose water double stild a little will quench
it so doe 3 times then put a pint more of double
stild Red Rose water with that you quencht the
Tutty in into the wine beat the calliminaris &
the Tutty severally very fine then put both to
the wine & Rose water bottle it & shake it twice
a day
wett a double cloth 3 times in a day & lay it to the
Breast first shakeing the water tis good alsoe
for the Kings euel & for sore eyes but for eyes
you must not shake it but use the cleer
wetting the cloth & lay it on your eyes & bath
them with it but drop non in I am told that
faire water wherin a good deal of steel has
been steeped a week is as good as wine &
cheaper for the poor

For a Burne
smiths water wash it therwith & lay
Rags dipt in it upon it til the fire is
out

Take the Berries of Elder when they are full ripe
and pick them from the stalks then put them in
a pitcher and Infuse them in a Kettle of water,
then take a Gallon of the juice and putt it into
a Pipkin, then Infuse it till it has wasted about
a quart, then full it up till twelve Gallon comes
to one.
It must be stirred with a wooden Slice for fear of
burning, and take one spoonful morning and
Evening.
