ffalmouth the 29 past a streights shipp richly laden

between frilly and the Lizard

plymouth the 30 the transporte
shipp mencioned in my last is sailed with 300
ffrench prisoners to St Maloe [..^..] the ostend man
of war homeward - A fleet of about 26
sail was seen off that porte supposed to be
Sir John with his squadron

portsmouth the 2^d instant a
ffleet of about 26 saile was seen off this place
but wee could at the coming away of the Letters
discover what they were

Deale Letters of the same date say
the Chatham well boate was the day before Cast
away in the downs but all the men saued
except one - Their maiesty shipp the [furst]
is come into the downs and reporte shee mett
off the north fforeland 2 flushing 2 flushing
privateers who came last from Dunkirk and
gave an account that 2 of our fire shipps were Cast
away with a merchant shipp before that
Harbour and all the men drowned

Eight 3^d rate men of war of
60 Gunns each and 6 4^th rate of 60 are
upon the flocks and will be all equiped next
summer

This day the kings yatche goe
for Holland and his Guards goe to morrow
to Lye in the roade betwixt this & Harwich

300 new Canon are contracted
and will be all Cast by January next

obseruing that severall [Ivetterite] Iacobite were Conversant in whitehall gave notice
thereof 2 dayes since to some of the officers of Courte upon which the Beefe eaters
are ordered not to suffer Sir Theophilus Ogiltho^rpe nor any other notorious Jacobite to
walk in the private Gallarii or else where aboue staires - The Queen went this day to
Hampton Courte and afterwards to kensington to prepare for the King's coming home
