Yesterday ffuller the Imposter
stood in the pillory the first time before
Westminster Hall gate and was so Carressed
by the Mobb with rotten Eggs and Dirt that
he was Like to haue been smothered and
when he came out the Guard had much ~
difficulty to keep the Rabble from -
Laying Violent hands on him.

There is certain Advise that
the Marquess de Nessmond is Cruizing with
a ffench squadron of shipps in the mouth
of the Channell supposed to haue a design
on our outward bound West India and
Streights ffleets now Lying at Cowes Spit
head &c. upon which they are commanded
not to sayl till further orders being to haue
their Convoy reinforced with 10 men of
Warr who are to conduct them out of the
danger of the Enemy

Wee haue an account since
my Last from Chattham that severall
of the great shipps are drawn out of the
Docks being compleatly refitted for service
and will forthwith fall down to Black
Stakes so that there will presently be
about 60 stout shipps to oppose any design
of the ffrench

40 great Merchant shipps
will suddenly be taken up and Converted
into men of warr for their Maiesties ser
vice there being allready 12 of 40 gunns
each

a ship of 700 Tunns called the
Royall Steed which we took from the ffrench
In the West Indies was Lately castaway away on
the back of Scottland in her way hither
but most of her Cargo will be saved
