I have none of your favours to reply to although the Pack=
ett is arriv'd at York this I hope you will receive this by the Brig[antine]
Lydia James Scott Master who I wish may have a quick passage to
you. No Delay has attending his loading having been up to town
only 15 days at this date & had not the misfortune of the Small
Pox kept him below 15 days he would by this have gain'd half
his Passage to you but there's no help for't. the Master's must be
more carefull in future, my best diligence has not been wanting
in the dispatch of Marshall & this vessell , & cant but think I have
shewn pretty good Generalship, Blake & Sharred who began to load
for London long before Scott arrivd are not yet loaded~

Inclosd you have Bill of Lading & Invoice w[i]th cost
of Cargo shipt on board Brig[antine] Lydia James Scott Mast[e]r to your
address amo[un]t[in]g to £4009.18.10. Lawfull money in thirds with
yourselves. Folger & Gardner & myself which hope will arrive Safe
and meet a good Markett one third the produce of which you
will carry to the Credit of my account. you will also please to
Credit my account with £1002.9.8 St[terlin]g being Cash paid by me
for your third of this Cargo in Boston, & I have accordingly charg'd
your account with that Sum ~

You have also inclosd Invoice & Bill of Lading of
Seventeen Cask of Potashes shipt for my own account on board
the Lydia to your address which you will please to dispose of
for the best price & at the lowest tare & Credit my account with
the [?] proceeds, you have herewith a Certificate from the Custom
house of its being Plantation Manufacture. ~

There is also on board five barrells Potashes belong[in]g
to Dr Lincoln who went Passenger in Marshall for which
I inclose you Capt Scotts receipt you will please to deliver him
there five Cask weigh a ton, & you will receive of him the fre[igh]'t
being 507 St[erlin]g P[er] ton you will also be mindfull to charge Folger
& Gardner with the freight of their third of the Brig[antine]s Cargo at the
rate of 507 St[erlin]g P[er] ton, & you will of course Credit my account
with my proportion thereof. ~ I wrote you of my Consent in
holding the Brig[antine] on the terms you mention'd say, you own
9/16 & myself the remaining 7/16. Inclos'd you have a Naval Store
Bill, & must desire you will return me a Certificate of land[in]g
the Staves as I am under Bonds here, & unless you send one
my Bonds will be put in Suit. In my letters of 9th Instant by
Dymond I desir'd you to make Insurance for me on oyl and
Potashes on board the Brig[antine] Fly John Farrah (in that Letter s[ai]d
John Hunt Wendell) master to amo[un]t of £1000 St[erlin]g this Brig[antine] is
now detaind in Nantaskett Road by bad weather, & now request
of you that if my letter by Dymond is not come to your hands
that
