Justice without a Suit that if he fails with him & the Bonds proce obstinstinate
advises to commence a Suit of Chancery against them which I leave entirely
to you prudence with only this Caution that we would not engage in a Suit
in that Court unless there be a fair probability of Success I wrote you by
Mr. George Brinley to which please to be refer'd Mr. Livingston's delay of
Payment for Gen[eral] Shirley's Chariot I can't account for as his Character
as a Gentleman of Honor has ever stood for & your good and kind
Offices are a full Proof there has been no neglect on your part. I am
with mine & Mrs. Lloyds best Complements to you & your good

I rec[eived] your fav[our] of 11th Curr[entt] inclosing your Letters to Mr. Fitch
& Capt. John Hanson with your two Orders on him one of them for 2000 & the other
for 1000 Dollars which he has accepted & prevents the delivery of your Letter to my brother
Fitch Capt Hanson accepted the Order cheerfully saying he had Rec[eived] great
Civilities from you, as to the Fish Consign's [^Capt] Hanson I refer you to his
Letter of this Date for the information, he tells me that provision is made for
discharg[ing] the Frenchman's Demand against him on the appeal Home

Mr. Robechau informing me of an Opportunity of writing you have only to
advise that since my last nothing further has been done in your Affairs with Mr. Wait owing to the
disturbances of the Stamp Act, at the next Session of the Superior [^Court] in August judgement
will be obtain'd on which Execution will be issued & forwarded to the Officer at Falmouth
who if he does his duty must return it with the mony to the term in Feb[ry] next
