Description

Yellow fever is caused by the yellow fever virus and is spread by the bite of infected Aedes or Haemagogus species mosquitoes. In about 15% of victims, within a day of improving the fever comes back, abdominal pain occurs, and liver damage begins causing jaundice (yellow skin and whites of eyes). Aka bilious remitting fever, yellow jack, mulatto jack, black vomit.
