Drimia maritima (syn. Scilla maritima) is a herbaceous bulb in the asparagus family Asparagaceae used medically as a treatment for dropsy (edema) because of the diuretic effects of its cardiac glycosides, and also used as a laxative and expectorant. Aka sea squill, sea onion, maritime squill, red squill.
