{November 11th} After much "botheration"
met at Denny's. After sup-
per, in the midst of joy and hi-
larity, the society were struck
dumb with the distressing news
of Wellington's death.

& Returned immediately without adjourning.

{November} 18 The club met at Gardeners.
Voted that Stearns copy the journal &c
& agreed on the time for hearing the
valedictory, and were about to
fine Denny for misdemeanor;
but perceiving that his mind
was exceedingly agitated, even to in-
sanity - it was agreed in "tender mer-
cy" to pass over his offence

{Adjourned} to Farrar's.
