September 26 Tuesday
This morning a gallows was
Erected the murtherer brought
out and Say on it about hald
an hour then was taken down
to be Sent back to Cambrige
to have another trial one man
Whipt and Drumd out for
Stealing the Rifle men Sat
off in the Battoos

September 27th Wednesday
This afternoon we loaded
our Battoos and Sat out part
in the Boats and part by land
Went about 2 miles were
Obligd to wade part of the
way Encampt by the river.

September 28th Thursday
This morning I sat out in
a Battoo we began to See that
we have a Scene of trouble to
go thr'o in this river the water
is Swift and Shole Full of rocks
