Dear Doctor;

Your letters have arrived right on time, and they have been good.
Thank you for the $5.00 Easter gift. You were very nice to send me a
token of friendship. You knew I couldn't be completely broke so soon - Yet you
sent it along! You are a very dear person Doctor, and I appreciate you
very, very much. You have been spending much more of late, too.
I am sorry your mother is not gaining as rapidly as we would all like.
I have an idea I could do much for that charming little lady were I there
on the home front. You must give her my love and very best wishes.
My math is hard at times, but so far I have managed fairly well. I
am enjoying it tho as math was always my weakest point.
Well now, I want to congratulate Sarah on having such a fine baby boy.
I like the name Peter, but someday he will be called Pete.
I have sent off a second letter to our reporter. The first one produced
good results _ the second may continue the good work or improve it!
In this letter I wrote a little about you. I agreed that some of the
people who had been connected with the case in the past were "stuffed
shirts" who did not have my interests at heart. Which was the main
reason we have failed. I wrote of your loyalty, friendship and the
way you have always tried to get me out of here - and the stone
wall we have always run into. I said you were pleased to have
Mr. Thompson take matters in his own hands. I did not over do it.
I hope to bring about a better understand between you and them, for
our case needs you. We'll see what he writes in return!
