I have had no news of Mrs. Thompson for almost three weeks. What does
she think about the new changes in our plans and the Rockford people?
You know I am not an expert on farming but I will be glad to help
if possible. I do know where and how to find out the unknown quality!
Hill Top is a wonderful place for what ever people might want to do. One of
the firsts on my wanted list is a huge dinner of chicken & trimmings, Then
I'll lie down and just rest myself - I can hardly wait the big day.
Soon summer will come to Hill Top, and pictures are a must for me!
Have Ralph or one of the girls take a dozen or so of you and send them.
Remember - out door stuff and please don't go Indian and wear a blanket!
Any "Simple Simon" can take good shots & any drug store will develope them.
I have some swell ideas for your consideration regarding Hill Top, but
of course those gems must wait a new day - and a brighter one!
You have experienced much hard luck this past year, So we hope & pray
that this will be a big year with a very beautiful ending.
Miss Rice visited me Saturday 24th,. We had a fine talk about
everything and really had a nice time while it lasted.
You must continue to think about coming to see me. It
would be grand to have a new talk with you and sort of re-
fresh myself in so many ways.
I have had the dictionary rebound for the second time. You
gave it to me many years ago - Remember? It will last quite a while.
I almost bought a new one for $5.95, but the old fellow will serve.
I am praying every day for your dear mother's recovery. Tell her I
think of her often, and she is to hurry up and get well because I
fully intend to be there this year and will need two potent cooks!
Tonight finds me feeling sort of happy about prospects for
the future. Say "Hello" to everyone for me. I will be thinking of you
Easter and wishing I were there. I send you my love and very
best wishes tho for every day - Yours,
Russell Mc Williams 5661-E
