I image will have a new superintendent here at Walpole pretty soon if he hasn't already started.

Mariam, I think it's wonderful of you to write to the Commissioner to try and help some of the men. I know a lot of people can make good once they get out all they have to do is get a job and stay out of trouble. but according to those Parole regulations a man have to better than the rest of the average citizen of Massachusetts. and thats pretty ruff on a man.

I wish you lot's of happiness and a very nice Easter also Mariam thank you - it was very good to hear from you. so long and take care.

sincerely, Charles Tracy P.S. I see you have changed your address.

We have been having good weather lately but it will change t-morrow which is thur Friday according to the weather man.

The other men have been going out in the yard to exercise. but it's still quite cold out.

Mariam. I want to thank you for sending me the Paper with the muscular Dystrophy association of america on it. they are doing a wonderful job. if I'm not mistaken you mentioned it last week but I didn't comment on it because I need my glasses changed cant quite see too well. and I'm unable to walk all the way over to the eye doctor.

I've heard of some of the people that belong's to that association. but not personally. and you have a very important position as president of the middlesex chapter. Not much news around here lately. I imagine they vote on the two thirds law tuesday. I haven't heard anything about it though - will probably [have more to wich?] about [Nestine?] so long for now. Sincerely, Charles Tracy

Dear Miriam I recieved your letter tuesday after noon and it was very good to hear from you. I hope you're feeling well I imagine the fine sunny weather suits you find I'm still in the hospital here at Walpole and I no longer have a high fever. but still having trouble with my leg. as far as I know I don't think I need another operation. but if I do need one I'd have to wait until september because the doctor who operated went on a summer vacation. Miriam I will write to Mrs. Willis next week I was going to read some more of her book so that I could have something to say about it. but I forgot and left it in my room under my bed. so long for now Miriam and thanks for writing. Sincerely Charles Tracy

Wends July 2-1970

Dear Miriam I received your letter monday June 30th and was very happy to hear from you. I hope you're feeling well today. I haven't heard anything further about going down to Norfolk to have my knee operated on it doesn't pain as much now. but I am getting tired of waiting as much as I hate operations. but I can't do anything else but wait. I imagine Massachusetts will be busy with the parades and fire works over the weekend. the american troops are finally back from Cambodia and I think they would still be over there. if the american people didn't didn't protest against President Nixon sending the troops into Cambodia. I know the mothers are happy to know that their sons returned safetly. it's too bad that the hundred and fifty lost their lives in taht short time.
